Redmond, WA-November 04, 1999 - CIFELLI Corporation was selected by Microsoft Corporation to supply it with its MPEG2 decoder to facilitate Beta testing of its next PC operating system - Windows2000™.

Ottawa, ON-October 13, 1999 - CIFELLI Corporation was selected by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) to supply it with custom cWare™ solutions.

"We are pleased to be working with an organization of this calibre. Clearly the SCC is the model for voluntary standards adherence that other nations envy. A standalone application was developed to support internal workflow. The front-end was implemented using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 while the back-end was implemented on Microsoft Access 97.

The LAN at the Carleton Place outlet uses 500 feet of UTP Category 5 cable. The cable plant collects 8+ drops at one (1) Hubbell 12-port patch box (RJ-45 front, 110A rear), one (1) 3Com 16440 12-port SuperStack II Baseline hub, and one (1) Cisco 1602 router. The WAN (connecting Carleton Place, Brampton, Thunder Bay, North Bay, and Goderich) is TCP/IP over frame relay w/ access on dedicated ISDN.

The frame relay network supports various applications including data through Cisco 2501 router and voice through Northern Telecom Norstar PBX.
